3.6 Replacing the SAS/SATA Backplane

Follow these instructions to replace the SAS/SATA backplane

in your TX46-B4985

-E system.

1. Disconnect the power and SAS/SATA cables from the

SAS/SATA backplane as shown.

2. Remove the three screws to release the backplane.

3. Remove the backplane from the chassis.

4. Secure a new backplane in place with three screws.

5. Reconnect the power and SAS/SATA cables.
